TAKE ACTION NOW: Critical Moment as the Administration Meets with Congress and Sets Refugee Admissions Goal

Action Alerts

Members of Congress and Administration officials are meeting this month to discuss the refugee admissions goal for FY 2019. By law, the administration must consult with Congress prior to setting the refugee admissions goal, which means Members of Congress can and must make their voices heard. US global leadership is at stake, as the future of the resettlement program hangs in the balance. While the consultations are being scheduled, it is critical that members of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, who are in charge of consulting with the administration, hear us strongly condemn a low admissions goal and call for a robust refugee admissions goal of at least 75,000 in FY19.
