TAKE ACTION TODAY: Urge Congress and DHS to Protect South Sudanese TPS Holders

Action Alerts

March 31, 2019 is the deadline for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to determine whether to eliminate or extend and redesignate TPS for hundreds of South Sudanese currently in the US. Since South Sudan first received TPS protections, the country has continued to face ongoing violence, including pervasive sexual and gender-based violence used as a weapon of war. South Sudan is suffering from mass hunger and starvation in addition to a lack of clean water, healthcare, and sanitation.

We must call on DHS to extend and re-designate TPS for 18 months in order to provide life-saving protection to those who have more recently escaped the conflict.
